Welcome to Ockenheim on Jakobsberg

Our guests appreciate Ockenheim's central location!
Right next to Ockenheim are several interesting places that offer a wealth of activities and experiences.
Bingen am Rhein, the gateway to the "Upper Middle Rhine Valley" World Heritage Site, with its castles, hiking trails, and sights.
Rüdesheim, with its Drosselgasse, is located on the opposite side of the Rhine and is easily accessible by ferry.
The red wine town of Ingelheim am Rhein, one of the most diverse towns in Rheinhessen, and finally the municipality of Gau-Algesheim with its typical “Rheinhessen charm.”
The state capitals of Mainz and Wiesbaden can be reached in less than 30 minutes via the highway, and Frankfurt Airport is just under 55 km away.

Nestled among the vineyards...

Just behind the Jakobsberger Hof, in the middle of the vineyards, runs part of the “Rheinhessischer Jakobsweg” (Rheinhessen Way of St. James), which leads up to the Jakobsberg monastery.

Beautiful circular hiking trails surround the village with secluded spots to pause and enjoy magnificent views of the Rhine Valley and the Taunus mountains.

Also easily accessible by public transport ...

Trains run from Ockenheim station via Gau-Algesheim to Mainz and Worms, Bad Kreuznach, Bad Münster am Stein, and Idar-Oberstein.

The bus stop for line 629 (Helmrichstraße) is approx. 50 m from Jakobsberger Hof. It connects Ockenheim station to Gau-Algesheim and the “Rheinwelle” water park. Line 235 connects Ockenheim with Bingen and the surrounding villages.

Get whatever your heart desires...

For shopping, there is a REWE grocery and beverage store just a 5-minute walk away, 350 meters from the Jakobsberger Hof, where wines from Ockenheim vintners are also available.

There are also four EnBW fast charging stations for electric cars.
You will also find the Lohner bakery there and, in the town center, the Roos bakery, which will spoil you with fresh bread rolls even on Sunday mornings.

You are also welcome with the bike ...

Why not start a bike tour through the vineyards or ride along the Rhine on the Rhine Cycle Path. There are beautiful bike tours here from easy to challenging, depending on your desire and fitness.

Bicycles or mountain bikes can also be rented nearby. And if you have your own bikes with you, they can be safely stored at the Jakobsberger Hofkeller. Air and Accupower are of course also available.
